The Healing Arts Centre is pleased to welcome a new Chiropractor to assist you. Here is some information that Dave has written about himself:
I work with people who desperately want to get their health on track, but just don’t know how or where to get started. I give them the tools to get exactly what they want, which is more energy, less pain, and a much more extraordinary life, not just for themselves, but for their whole family.
A lot of people that walk through our doors have some kind of ache or pain that they’re struggling with – and while it’s satisfying to help people overcome that struggle through chiropractic care, my real joy comes from watching my patients experience the SIDE EFFECTS of chiropractic care i.e. more energy, better sleep, better digestion and less stress.
Sounds great eh?
When I was 16, I was on track to become a physiotherapist – I had always wanted to be in a position to help people, and physios had always helped me whenever I was injured and needed fixing. It was around this time that my mum started seeing a chiropractor. She thought the same as most people, that she had a bad back and needed a chiropractor to fix it. But then something crazy happened!
Her back got better – we were expecting that. But all sorts of other things started to change too! Her digestion got better, she got less cramps, and she no longer needed to get up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. She booked my brother and I in to get checked out too, and that experience changed my life forever. I was hooked on chiropractic.
I graduated with distinction from Murdoch University in 2013 and since then I’ve worked in private practices in Australia and Canada. And when I’m not delivering world class chiropractic care and speaking at public and corporate events, you’ll find me training in Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; or on the couch with a hot cup of coffee and a good book.
I love to travel, and have made trips to different parts of Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Spain, Germany and the UK. Exploring Canada and the US are next on my travel list.
If you’re dying to know more, here are 4 things you might find interesting…
- I was born and bred in Perth, Western Australia (about the furthest possible place from Sault Ste Marie). Perth has a great lifestyle and nightlife scene, and is home to some the best beaches in the world. However, if you’re thinking of visiting, get ready for a long trip – my last visit home took about 35 hours each way in travel time!
- I know next to NOTHING about architecture, but I really like wandering around and looking at cool buildings, especially old buildings like churches or monasteries.
- Despite never even SEEING snow until winter 2014, snowboarding is definitely one of my favourite things. Even the prospect of shovelling my driveway every day isn’t enough to put me off my new found love of snow.
- You’re probably wondering, “why would an Australian move to Sault Ste Marie??” I moved to the soo to start a new adventure with my girlfriend Camille. Cam is a soo local who also works in healthcare for children and families.
